Who am I?Psychotherapist

I am Ekin Sarı, a seasoned psychologist with a degree from Sabancı University’s Psychology Department. Throughout my undergraduate years, I served as a research assistant, gaining valuable experience. Additionally, I actively participated as a volunteer in a civil society organization established by the university. My mandatory internship took place at Erenköy Mental and Nervous Diseases Hospital, and I completed internships in various clinical settings.

As a Coordinator Psychologist at a Psychological Counseling Center, I dedicated two years to providing support and guidance.

I pursued further education in Clinical Psychology at Bahçeşehir University, where my thesis focused on the relationship between Eating Attitudes and the Individualization Process of Separation.

Under the supervision of the Psychotherapy and Counseling Research and Application Center (PDRM) at Bahçeşehir University, I engaged in individual psychoanalytic-oriented psychotherapy. During my Master’s program, I conducted my Clinical Psychology internship at Moodist Hospital, concurrently undergoing individual supervision and therapy.

I am a certified practitioner of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) and Thematic Apperception Test (TAT). Continuously updating my knowledge, I participate in ongoing training programs offered by PsikeIstanbul and the Institute of Psychoanalysis (İPD). I have completed modules on Psychodynamic Psychotherapy by Otto Kernberg and Lacanian Psychoanalysis Practice from the Psychoanalysis Research Association.

Currently, my professional focus lies in providing psychoanalytic therapy to adult individuals, both in-person and online. My expertise encompasses areas such as eating disorders, depression, difficulties in the process of individualization through separation, anxiety, loss and mourning processes, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
