Who am I ?Counsellor
I am a counsellor with 8 years of experience of working in the mental health field with people from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
In my private practice, I have worked with adults who suffer from depression, anxiety, low self esteem, trauma, relationships and identity related issues, or young adults who struggle with the impact of social media or dating. Counsellor
I also have extensive experience of working in supported housing with people who suffered from trauma, psychosis, personality disorders, and those coming from a criminal background or experienced sexual abuse. I witnessed many people in seemingly hopeless situations whose lives after a period of consistent therapy work, turned into success stories.
As an integrative counsellor trained in different modalities, including person-centred, existential, psychodynamic and solution focused therapy, my approach is always tailored to the person’s individual needs at a given time. Counsellor
I believe empathy, respect and honesty is a necessary base for a solid therapeutic relationship and my work with clients is built on these core conditions.
Having worked for over two years in private practice with many people presenting with symptoms of anxiety, while using evidence based and solution focused techniques, I also work with the root cause of these symptoms which are often a consequence of unresolved issues from the early childhood.
The aim of my work is to help people to get independent so they will be able to lead a happy and fulfilled life without therapy.
In my personal life I have a wide range of interests including art, music, films and literature. Having lived in a few different countries and big cities allows me to work with a diversity of people and understanding them on a deeper level.
I trained in London and I am accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
